Construction Zone! from Humble Quilts

Oh my goodness, what an ordeal it was for me to get these scrub hats completed!  I'll just leave it at that....
I got a bit more creative with the fabrics this time.

They are going in the mail to Julie in TX today!
I just finished this book. It feels like it took me forever as some nights I could only read a few pages before dropping off to sleep.  I enjoyed it a lot and had no idea this went on during WW2.

Elsa and I went for a beautiful hike on Saturday.
Many of these areas ...

It Takes a Village from Humble Quilts

My blogger friend Julie is a nurse in Texas. Her hospital is getting hit HARD with covid. She put a little shout out for nurse scrub caps. The one she shared the tutorial for is good for putting long hair or a pony tail in. See her post HERE.
See the youtube tutorial HERE.

Happy Easter! from The Cozy Quilter

Another week of staying home.  Another week of hoping and praying that the COVID-19 pandemic will soon be under control and the worrying and anxiety can ease.  I spent some time this week on adding stitches to my March Linen and Thread ornament. Does anybody really know what day it is? from Stash Overflow

Does anybody really care?

daysofweek

Having been retired for almost 5 years was good training for self-isolation. Being an introvert also makes it easier to stay at home although I do enjoy my quilt groups and other outings. My calendar started clearing out on March 13th with the cancellation of Jinny Beyer club for the next day. After that the cancellations came fast and furiously. I still have a couple of appointments (chiro and hair) on my calendar for April but I plan to cancel them.

Around mid-March I went ahead and made a hotel reservation for early May for my ...

A Variety of Projects this Week from The Cozy Quilter

Last Sunday, I brought up this week's sewing projects from the basement sewing room to the dining room table where I have set up my temporary sewing space while Finn the grand-dog is here.  The first order of business for the week was to finish quilting this table topper, started 7 years ago.  As you can see, the binding is on and it is done!  The blocks are Bonnie Hunter's Boxy Stars.

I don't know about you, but I am finding it hard to stay focussed on one thing for very long these days and tend to ...
